My husband and I have been in Florida on vacation for the last week visiting our daughter in Jacksonville and decided to drive to Daytona Beach to visit the motor speedway and when we left her home we noticed a hissing sound with the air conditioner in my vehicle. As we continued to drive we continued to lose cold air, eventually no cold air at all. Once we arrived in Daytona, we did our tour of the speedway and when we were done, we went to and auto place to see if someone could help us out and they were booked until Friday, but they did recommend Pep Boys. We drove to Pep Boys, told them what was going on and within 15 minutes, they let us know what was wrong with my vehicles air conditioner and we were able to have them fix it within hours. We are very grateful to have had such great service to make sure we could enjoy the rest of our vacation and our drive back home to Ohio in the heat.

I recently went there. And overall, I never had a problem with this company as a whole. But this last visit really makes me wonder. I went there for a tune up as well as an oil change. They said they did an inspection. They said it would take 90 minutes; About less than 30 minutes later. They were done with everything. I even asked. Did you do a test drive? They claim they did. Problem is, the car felt the same. It still seemed to have a roughness issue. So I really doubt they did a tuneup. They definitely rush through it as if they were being timed. So it was like, get it done quick.No matter what. They seem more concerned about charging me for other work. All I know is I have to really question and now i'm going to another mechanic to see what this place actually did, but i'm out four hundred dollars.I sure hope that did not happen. But if they never test drove it, if all they did was move it from one side of the building to the other, then how would they even know. I spoke to the manager afterwards, and he really didn't satisfy my concerns that they did do everything. All he did was tell me that they're fast and they got everything done. The staff was amazing! Gabby, who helped me at the front desk, went above and beyond! Was Very knowledgeable with my situation. And was very nice. And the technician Ezikeal was also very nice. He Did an amazing job with the repair. And in a very timely manner. I would highly recommend using Pep Boys in Daytona, Florida across from the speedway if you’re ever in need of any kind of repair. A huge thank you to the wonderful gentlemen that made a very difficult moment into something quick and easy. We had a blowout on I-95 right outside of Daytona in the middle of the night with both of our little kids in the car. We were able to get a tow truck quickly, but the only place that had our tires was this location. I contacted them via phone immediately and told them I’d be there probably before closing. The gentleman on the phone Daniel assured me that as long as we got there before 8 PM, he would be there to help us. By the grace of God we showed there at exactly 7:58 PM and he had our tire ready to go. A wonderful veteran employee in the shop by the name of Billy mounted our tire with no issues and checked the other tires to make sure that we would make it safely home to Georgia. While Daniel opened the service waiting area for our two kids. If you ever find yourself in a situation where you need speedy and reliable service, this is definitely the location to do it. I’m very grateful for both of these gentlemen being so courteous to us when I’m sure they were very tired from a long day of work.
